2008 Southeast Asphalt Tour
Rules and Specifications

1. Weight:

a. All vehicles will be subject to have weight checked at any time.
b. All weights will include driver, all fluids and necessary equipment; weight will be checked at the discretion of Series officials.
c. Added weight must be in block form no less than five (5) pounds.
d. All weight must be securely bolted in place. Dislodged weight may not be returned to the car in order to make weight after the event.
e. All weight must be painted white, with the cars number in either red or black.
f. Any lost weight will result in a fine of $10.00 a pound.
g. Minimum total weight will be 2,750 pounds with options # 2 a,b,c or option # 3. Other engine options and weights listed in section # 4.
h. Minimum total right side weight will be 1,155 pounds (for oval races)
i. Any weight penalty will be added to the right side weight of the car in question.
j. Weight penalties will be added to the weight of the car at the time of the infraction.
k. At any road course events the minimum total left side weight will be 54% the total weight of the car. (Example total weight 2750) left side must be no less than 1,485pounds.

2. Crate Engines:

a. GM Part # 88958604 permitted with the following upgrades, rocker arms GM part # 12370839 (1.6rocker), Valve Spring part# PHM 701 available from Phil Harper Motor Sports. And Champ Oil pan part # CP106LTRB.
b. Ford (Blue Oval) crate engine Part # m 06007-D347-SR will be permitted to compete using rocker arm configuration as supplied by manufacturer.    (Revised 2/08)

c. McGunegill Ford Part # ASA 425LM will be permitted with 1.5 rocker arms and no carburetor spacer.
d. Stanton Dodge Part # SR 75360 (revised 1/08)
e. Dodge Motorsports Part # P-5007958 (revised 1/08)

3. Guidelines for Built engines with #7448 Carburetor listed below.

a. 362 cubic inches maximum
b. GM, Ford, and Chrysler small block only.
c. Four (4) Bolt Main permitted with steel caps.
d. Deburing permitted.
e. Solid lift cams permitted.
f. No roller cams or roller lifters permitted. All lifters must be flat bottom lifters only.
g. Dry sump oiling systems permitted.
h. Head bolt studs permitted.
i. After market steel crank permitted. Stroke must remain stock plus or minus .020 of the stock stroke.
j. Balancing and Deburing permitted on cranks.
k. Stock appearing after market rods permitted. Billet rods permitted. Length not specified. H beam rods permitted
l. No polishing or machine work permitted except for balancing.
m. NO TITANIUM RODS PERMITTED.
n. Flat top pistons only. No dome pistons permitted.
o. Only cast iron 23-degree heads permitted on GM engine
p. Angle cut heads permitted
q. No SB 2 or SB 3 heads permitted
r. No polishing or porting permitted
s. No matching of port permitted in any manner
t. Any type roller rock arms permitted
u. 2.050 intakes and 1.060 exhaust max. In GM and Chrysler
v. 2.020 intakes and 1.060 exhaust max. In Ford
w. No TITANIUM values permitted
x. Neck down valves permitted max under size .010
y. High performance springs and retainers permitted.
z. High performance intakes permitted, Series officials must approve all intakes.

aa. No altering, polishing or matching of intake ports permitted in any manner
bb. No laser treating or micro holes permitted
cc. Plenum must not be altered in any manner
dd. No devices permitted in runners.

4.1 Statement - It is in the best interest of the ASA Southeast asphalt tour and competition to allow various engine combinations to compete in the series events.  Providing, your engine combination is approved for competition by the ASA Southeast asphalt tour office if otherwise not stated in the rules and regulations.

4.2  The following engine options from the ASA Midwest tour may compete in ASA Southeast asphalt tour at these weights.

a. Ace headed engines with 4412- 2bbl @ 2850 lbs. total - Min right side 1197 lbs.
b. 9 to 1 – 23 degree engine with 4412-2bbl @ 2900 lbs. total-min right side 1218 lbs.
c. Specs and rules for these engine and carburetor packages @ www.asamidwesttour.com

4.3  The following sealed spec motors may compete in the ASA Southeast asphalt tour at these weights.

a.  McGunegill sealed spec motor with 4412 - 2bbl @ 2900 lbs. total - min right side 1218 lbs.
b.  Hamner Racing sealed spec motor with 4412 - 2bbl @ 2900 lbs. total - min right side 1218 lbs.

4.4 Carburetor 4412-2bbl

a.  No tapered boosters.
b.  4412 2 bbl. Removal of choke (Butterfly) is the only modification allowed.
c.  Air horn removal not permitted.
d.  Holley 500 CFM Model #'s 0-4412s or 0-4412c. 2bbl Carb.
e. Carburetors must pass track inspection using tours tech tools.
f.  HP Carbs are strictly prohibited.
g.  Spacers can be 1 1/2" max and bores must be perpendicular to the base.  No tapered spacers.

5. Claim and protest guide lines for all motors.

a. Only the top five (5) drivers, owner or crew chief may claim or protest a sealed or spec engine or protest a built engine finishing the race ahead of their car.
b. The claim or protest must be made within ten (10) minutes of the completion of the event.
c. The fee must be made to the Director of Competition with cash only.
d. The claim/protest will not be accepted should Series Officials determine that the fee is from more than one party or on someone else’s behalf.
e. Failure to pull a claimed or protested sealed engine will result in automatic disqualification, suspension or loss of championship points. The engine in question will have all serial #’s recorded and will no longer be eligible for competition.
f. The cost for claiming a sealed engine will be the current cost of the engine plus a five hundred dollars ($500.00). Parts not included will be the clutch, distributor, water pump, headers and pulleys.
g. Protest fee for a sealed engine will be three thousand dollars (3,000.00) to have the entire engine check.
h. Once the claim of a sealed engine has occurred, the driver claiming the engine will have the option to have said engine inspected at no extra cost. At this time, should the engine be found to be outside the guidelines, the engine in question will be confiscated and will become property of the Series. The driver/owner of the engine in question will then be disqualified from the event and be subject to fine, suspension and or loss of champion points.
i. The fee for the protest of built engine will be three thousand dollars (3,000.00), for the entire engine
j. Should the built engine be found to be outside the guidelines, all unapproved parts of the engine would become property of the Series, at which time the driver in question would be disqualified from the event and receive no said money or champion points.

6. Exhaust

a. Any single flange steel tube header permitted
b. Exhaust must exit behind the driver and out the right side door
c. Some venues may require mufflers and a limit of 100db at 100 feet.

7. Carburetor (TWO BARREL and Crate Engine)

a. Holley 2300 two-barrel Model #7448 is the only carburetor permitted on option # 3 Engines.
b. Must maintain a throttle bore size of no more than 1.500
c. No polishing, porting or grinding inside or outside the body permitted.
d. No painting or any other type of coating permitted inside or outside, other than from manufacture.
e. Choke and choke horn may be removed.
f. All screw holes must be permanently sealed.
g. Booster size and shape must remain unaltered.
h. Booster height must remain standard and centered in the venturi.
i. Center cross in booster may be removed, while the inside diameter must not exceed 0.452.
j. Venturi area must not be altered in any manner.
k. Casting ring must not be removed.
l. Base plate must not be altered in any manner.
m. Stock butterflies must not be thinned or tapered, and each butterfly may have one (1) hole
n. Screw ends may be cut even with the throttle shaft and screw heads must remained unaltered
o. Throttle shafts must remain standard and may not be thinned or cut in any manner
p. Any attempt to pull air other than through the venturi is not permitted.
q. All sealed engines must use a Holley 650 HP four (4) barrel only (part # 4150-80541)
r. 650 HP venturi size of 1.259, Throttle bore size of 1.6875
s. Minimum Throttle shaft and butterfly thickness 0.194 primary and 0.182 secondary
t. A minimum of two (2) return springs mandatory
u. Throttle stops are highly recommended

8. Carburetor Spacer

a. Two barrel must use only a one-piece solid aluminum spacer with no adjustment.
b. Maximum thickness of 3/4"
c. Spacer must have two holes no larger than base plate.
d. No tapering or beveling permitted
e. 604 GM sealed motor will be permitted to use up to a 1” solid aluminum spacer either four (4) hole or open spacer. Also approved, tapered four (4) hole spacer from VDL fuel systems.
f. D-347-SR will be permitted to use either a four (4) hole 1” spacer or a 1” open solid aluminum spacer only.
g. ASA 425 LM will not be permitted to use any type of spacer.

8. Air Cleaner

a. Cowl Induction will be permitted on all cars
b. The only approved cold air box is manufactured by Five Star stock car bodies and it must have proper part numbers on it.
c. Element must not be sprayed with any type of oil or chemicals.
d. K&N elements permitted, but must remain dry.
e. No sheet metal or heat shields permitted behind the radiator

9. Engine Placement

a. Engine set back will be measured from the center of the #1 spark plug to the center of the top ball joint.
b. Maximum engine set back will be no more than 4 ¼”
c. Engine must be located within 1” of the center of the frame
d. Center of crankshaft to the ground will be no less than 10”

10. Transmission

a. Must have OEM type transmission with at least one forward and reverse working gears.
b. Rankin drive and direct drive transmission will be permitted for the 2008 season with a left side weight penalty of 25 pounds. For the 2009 season they will not be permitted.

11. Clutch & Bell housing:

a. Multiple disc clutches permitted with steel floaters.
b. Minimum diameter of clutch 5 ½” No carbon fiber permitted.
c. Bell Housing must be made of steel or aluminum.

12. Spindles & hubs:

a. Homemade and after market spindles permitted steel only.
b. Wide five or G N type hubs only.
c. Some venues may require that steel or billet wide five hubs be used on right side.

13. Brakes:

a. Front & rear disc brakes required.
b. Only cast steel rotors permitted.
c. Maximum diameter of front & rear rotors 11 ¾”.
d. Maximum thickness of 1 ¼’ on front & rear rotors.
e. Minimum thickness of rear rotors will be ¾’.
f. Calipers must not exceed a retail price of $500.00 per wheel.
g. No carbon fiber or exotic metals will be permitted.
h. A maximum of one air intake per wheel.
i. Maximum of two hoses per wheel.
j. No liquid or gas cooling permitted.
k. Fluid circulators permitted.

14. Ignition & Electrical systems.

a. Breaker less ignition permitted. No crank trigger permitted.
b. Either MSD or CRANE boxes permitted but must not exceed 6300 RPM on sealed and crate engines. ( 2009 only MSD boxes will be permitted). It will be the responsibility of the team to make sure the limiter is in working order on sealed and crate engines. The Series will furnish the rev limiters for MSD boxes.
c. All ignition components must be mounted on the right side of the dash and out of reach of the driver. (Coil, boxes Etc)
d. All wiring must be exposed and all extra plugs must be sealed.
e. Alternators permitted (recommended)
f. One battery with a maximum of 16 volts must be mounted outside the driver’s compartment.
g. The master disconnect switch must mounted in the center of the dash within easy access of the driver.
h. NO TRACTION CONTROL PERMITTED.

15. Wheels:

a. 15x10 steel wheels only.
b. Car number must be on wheels for impounding.
c. No air bleeders permitted.

16. Shocks:

a. Racing shocks permitted.
b. Price per shock must not exceed $800.00
c. Adjustable and double adjustable shocks permitted.
d. No electronically controlled shocks permitted.
e. Only one (1) shock per wheel.

17. Rear Ends

a. Quick change and open tube rear ends permitted.
b. No independent rear suspension permitted
c. Maximum 1.5 degrees camber permitted

18. Fuel System/Cell

a. All competitors will be subject to fuel test at any time.
b. All competitors must use Sunoco purple 110 fuel only.
c. Each team must purchase a minimum of 10 gallons per event, from event vendor. Failure to do so will result in a $100.00 fine.
d. No cooling of fuel or fuel cell or any lines permitted
e. Manuel block mounted fuel pump only.
f. Fuel cell mandatory, Maximum 22 gallon.
g. No aerodynamic shape fuel cells permitted.
h. Minimum height from ground to bottom of fuel cell 9 inches.
i. All fuel cell cans must be made of no less than 22 gauge steel.
j. All fuel cells must be vented high out the left rear taillight. With a maximum of 1” hose.

19. Cooling System

a. No antifreeze will be permitted.
b. Any car found to have antifreeze will be fined $100.00
c. Any water additives must be approved.
d. Aluminum radiators and electric fans permitted.
e. Radiator must be mounted in front of the engine in the upright position.
f. All cars must have a catch can or hose exiting at base of the left side windshield.

20. Body See 2008 ABC Rule Book FOR Guidelines.

a. No streamlining or under panning of any type permitted (as of March 24th)

21. Interior.

a. The cars interior must be complete and shield the driver from the ground, engine compartment and fuel cell area.
b. The main firewall must be no less than 24 gauge steel and fully shield the driver from the engine compartment.
c. Cars may have an installed dash with optional gauges.
d. NO digital gauges permitted.
e. No in car timing devices will be permitted during the race. They may be used during practice ONLY.
f. Quick release steering wheel mandatory.
g. Top section of the steering column must be padded.
h. Center of the steering wheel must have a center pad.
i. All roll bars surrounding the driver must be padded and be acceptable to Series Officials.
j. Window net must be installed in the driver’s side window opening.
k. The net must be ribbon type and made of nylon type material, with a maximum of 1” square opening between the ribs.
l. The minimum size of the net will be no less than 22’x18’
m. All window nets must have a quick release latch and be welded to the main roll cage.
n. No fish net type nets will be permitted.
o. All seat belts must be no older than 3 years.
p. Series Officials must approve all mounting of belts.

22. Frames

a. Straight rail, perimeter and stock clip frames permitted.
b. All frames must be approved by series Officials.
c. Frame and roll cage must be inside the left side tires.
d. Minimum ground clearance including weight boxes will be no less than 4”. This will be checked without the driver and without the sway bar being adjusted.
e. No type of chassis adjustments from inside the car other than brake adjuster. This includes track bar and weight jacks.

23. Wheel base And Tread Width.

a. Minimum wheelbase will be no less than 101” and be within 1” per side.
b. Tread with will be maximum of 66” using the Series Referee tool.
c. Should a competitor not be able to meet the maximum width rule, a penalty of 25 pounds will be added to the total right side weight of the car. Should the problem not be fixed by the next event the weight will increase 25 pounds per event until the problem is corrected.

24. Roll Cage

a. Series Officials must approve all roll cages.
b. Series Officials have the right to disallow any roll cage to compete due to poor workmanship or safety related problems.
c. Round steel tubing with a minimum wall thickness of .090 and 1 ¾ od must be used to construct the main roll cage.
d. Roll cage must be box type with cross support in the front and back
e. The left side must have 4 bars with a wall thickness of no less than .090.
f. The bars must be plated from the frame to the top bar with 1/8” steel.

25. Drive line.

a. Steel or aluminum drive shaft only.
b. Aluminum shafts must maintain a minimum O D of 3”.
c. All drive shafts must be painted white with car numbers in red or black.
d. A minimum of one 360-degree loop made of no less than 1/8” steel required.

26. Mandatory Equipment for Competitors.

a. All drivers must use approved head and neck restraint during all on track actives. This includes practice as well as the main event.
b. All drivers must wear Approved fire suite, gloves and shoes.
c. All spotters must use a scanner to scan race control during all on track actives. Frequency will be posted at all events at the Series Trailer.
d. All teams must provide series with team frequency before start of event.
e. Transponder location will be 154” from leading edge of nose to inside left frame rail.

27. Racing Tires

a. Hoosier F-45 purchased from series tire vender will be only tire to compete in ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour. Race tires must be selected at the racing venue the day of the event. Competitors may have tire vender pre select tires using chalk mark only prior to event. Garrison Racing Equipment is the official tire vender for the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour. 706-778-5986 or 706-778-3789
b. All race tires will be impounded and released prior to qualifying. No altering or soaking of tires will be permitted.
c. Any team tampering or altering tires will have tires confiscated by series and may be grounds for suspension, disqualification and or loss of championship points.
d. Feature event /LCQ race must be started on the same set of tires used in qualifying. Drivers that transfer from a last chance qualifying race may purchase a new set of race tires for the feature event.

ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour reserves the right to change, Modify, update or delete any rules as deem necessary to insure fairness, equality and provide a competitive environment.

ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour 2008
Race procedures and general conduct guidelines

A. Drivers Meeting

1. Series Officials will hold a Drivers meeting at each event. At this meeting all new or special information that may very from the rulebook will be announced, and then be considered official.

a. A roll call will start each meeting.
b. The driver, crew chief and spotter from each team are required to attend each drivers meeting.
c. Failure of the driver, crew chief or spotter to attend the meeting will result in the driver starting in the rear of the field regardless of their qualifying time.

B. Qualifying Procedures.

1. The order of events, including qualifying order will be posted at the Series trailer and around the speedway.

2. After drawing for your qualifying position you must be prepared to qualify in your designated position. Failure to be in your position will result in the car and driver being a one-lap qualifier. Failure to draw prior to practice will also result in the car and driver being a one-lap qualifier.

3. Teams will have one chance to qualify. Once the car has taken the green flag their attempt has started.

4. The number of cars that will be inspected will be the choice of Series Officials.

5. In the event that qualifying is rained out, the following procedures will be used.

a. For the first two events of 2008, cars will be lined up according to the order in which there inspection fee was received at the Series Office.
b. For the remainder of the events the order will be set on points.
c. In the event a car has no points and there are still spots open, those cars will be lined up according to the order there inspection fees were received.
d. If the above does not cover any situation, the balance of the field will lined up according to the Series Officials.

6. No driver may attempt to qualify more than one car for the same event.

7. Any car not clearing post-qualifying inspection will have there time revoked and moved to the bottom of the order.

8. When two or more cars have duplicate times, the tiebreaker will be to revert back too their other lap.

9. Series reserves the right to 2 starting provisionals for drivers in the top 20 in ASA Southeast Asphalt tour point standings.

10. Top ten qualifiers will redraw for their starting position in the feature event.

C. Race procedures.

1. All drivers must be on time and lined up for the main event or heat race they are to compete in.

2. Once the green flag has been displayed the race has started, no driver may change cars or use a backup car.

3. An ASA licensed driver may start any qualified car. If the driver is some one other than the qualified driver they must start in the rear of the field.

4. The Starter will control all starts and restarts.

5. All restarts will be double file with lead lap cars only. The starter will start the event at the designated start point.

6. The free pass will be given to the first car one lap down at the caution flag. At which point the driver will be instructed to pass the pace car and line up at the end of the lead lap cars.

7. The free pass will only be used when there have been five laps of green flag racing consecutive.

8. The free pass will not be given to any driver who brings out the caution flag.

9. All cars involved in an accident will be sent to the rear of the field on the restart. The term “involved” is at the discretion of series officials.

10. Cars must report to tech area or victory lane as directed by series officials.

11. Teams must not go on the racetrack for any reason. All repairs must be performed in pit area.

12. No car may pass the pace car or race leader unless instructed by series officials. Any car illegally passing the pace cars or race leader will be assessed a 1 lap penalty.

13. No car will be allowed to continue in the race event should series officials deem the car is a hazard to other competitors or race fans.

14. Any driver who attempts to bring out a caution or intentionally causes a caution will be assessed a 1 lap penalty.

15. Cars must take the checkered flag on the racetrack in order to claim the win .Any rain out or stopped event because of track conditions or curfew at one lap past half way will be considered a complete race.

16. Any car not obeying the stop and go sign on pit road will be black flagged and return to the pits for a “Stop and go” penalty.

17. Cars must maintain a reasonable safe speed while in the pit area.

18. All race procedures are subject to judgment calls by series officials, as they may deem necessary. These judgment calls are considered final and non-appeal able and non-litigable.

19. All cars must be able to maintain a minimum lap time of no less than 2 seconds a lap less then the leader. In the event that a car cannot maintain a minimum speed they will be sent to the pit area for the remainder of the event.

20. Any car involved in 3 cautions will be sent to the pits for the remainder of the event.

D. Scoring

1. The chief scorer will be responsible for the timing and scoring of each event.

2. The finishing order will be posted within 20 minutes after the event is completed at a designated area. This order is unofficial pending tech inspection and final scoring. It is the responsibility of each team to bring to the attention of the series director, race director or chief scorer that they request a scoring recheck. Teams have 30 minutes to request a scoring recheck after the results have been posted, otherwise the scoring for that particular event will be considered ”official” and finishing will stand as posted.

3. In the event that a scoring recheck has been requested and the team is still not satisfied with the outcome, the team may ”protest” scoring. To protest scoring requires a $100.00 non-refundable fee, which must be presented to the Chief scorer, race director or series director immediately following the results from the recheck. An additional inquiry into scoring will be made and the findings will be shown to the team. Once this is completed the scoring is final.

Inspection
1. All vehicles will be inspected during the course of the event at the discretion of the tech director. All Inspections will be preformed as designated by the tech director and may vary from event to event.
2. Cars, parts and or equipment will not be considered as having been approved by having passed through inspection at any time or number of times unobserved or undetected.
3. Rules are “No Tolerance” unless specified. Failure to comply with ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour rules may result in disqualification from qualifying position, finishing position or the event entirely.
4. All series approved weighing, measuring, testing devices and procedures used by technical officials are the standard that determines a vehicle compliance with ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour rules and regulations. No other equipment or device may be used unless approved by the tech director. The decision of rules infractions during post qualifying or post technical inspections as imposed by tech director shall be final.
5. Series officials reserve the right to confiscate any illegal and /or unapproved part(s).
6. Any use of components utilizing mercury shall be deemed to render the vehicle ineligible to compete in the event and such violation shall be reported to the proper authorities.
7. Series officials reserve the right to impound the racecar at any time.
8. All crate and sealed motors will be confiscated as one piece.
9. If the competitor being protested is legal, that competitor will receive the entire amount of the protest fee. If the competitor being protested is illegal, the entire protest fee will be returned to the competitor filing the protest.
10. The decisions made during the protest and the conduct in which the protest is handled is at the sole discretion of tech director.

Penalties

1. Penalties for violation of ASA Southeast tour rules are determined by the gravity of the violation and its effect on the fairness of competition, the orderly conduct of the event and the interest of stock car racing and the series. Such penalties may include, but are not limited to, Disqualification, Suspension of a membership or license privileges, fines and or loss of points. The series director may use the following as guidelines for imposition of penalties in the situations described below, but these guidelines shall not limit the authority of the series Officials.

a. Any member that performs an act or participates in actions deemed by series official as detrimental to automobile racing or to series, fine of at least $ 250.00 and member may also be suspended and /or loss of championship points.
b. Any member who permits anyone else to use his/her ASA license or pit permit; Fine of least $250.00 and or suspension.
c. Any member who signs the release sheet or competitor pit permit for anyone else; a fine of at least $250.00 and or suspension.
d. Any member who assaults or threatens to do bodily harm to any Series Official or persons serving under their direction; a minimum fine of $1,000.00, suspension, and /or loss of championship points.
e. Any member while participating in an ASA event partakes of any alcoholic beverage, stimulating, depressing or tranquilizing drugs or is otherwise under the influence; will result in a minimum fine of $500.00 and suspension.
f. Any member who participates in fights in the pit area, or on the premises; a minimum fine of $500.00, suspension and or loss of championship points.
g. Any car found to have traction control (working or not); a minimum fine of $5,000.00 and loss of all championship points.

Race and Pit Procedures Penalties
1. Rear of the field a. Involved in the accident or stopping on the track resulting in
a caution.
b. Speeding through the pit area.
2. Stop & go Penalty
a. Jumping the start or restart.
b. Run the stop & go sign on pit road.
c. Start out of position.
3. Lap(s) or time penalty
a. Unauthorized pass of the pace car.
b. Failure to obey Officials or flag man.
c. Intentional causing a yellow flag.
4. Black Flag,
a. Work on car while on the track.
b. Ignore the black flag.
c. Rough or reckless driving.
d. Actions deemed detrimental to auto racing.

Appeals

1. A car owner or driver may file an appeal against any penalty or fine imposed by the Series Director, provide that the individual submits intent to appeal letter to the Series Director with five (5) days of the penalty notice.
2. Appeals must be in writing and accompanied by the non-refundable appeal fee of $500.00.
3. The Board of appeals shall be responsible for the timely and orderly disposal of such appeals. The board shall be comprised of members or Officials at the discretion of the series director. The time and date of such hearing will be as soon as possible at the Series Directors sole discretion.
4. Three members shall constitute a quorum
5. The hearing will be conducted in the manner best suited to the relevant facts.
6. The appellant may file a final appeal against the Series Commissioner. He/She may review information concerning the appeal and the decision may be based on that evidence or may hold another hearing.
7. Neither the board nor the Commissioner shall order an event to be rerun.
8. Race procedure calls are considered judgment calls and are non-appealable.

Bonus Points

1. 5 Points awarded for leading the most laps.
2. 5 Points awarded for leading 1 lap
3. 5 points awarded for leading at halfway point.
4. Any driver who makes a qualifying attempt but does not make the field shall receive 40 attempt points. What constitutes a qualifying attempt is at the discretion of the series officials.
5. Drivers that display the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour logo on the sides of their race vehicle transporter will receive 50 extra bonus points toward their season total Decals to be furnished by series. Approximate size 29” X 47"
6. All efforts will be made to secure contingency sponsors. Contingency decals can be obtained from series office and must be displayed on the race car.
7. Top of windshield and rear spoiler must be reserved for series sponsor.
8. Uniform patches are required. Patches and placement can be obtained from series office. Uniforms and contingency decals will be checked in pre race inspection.
